About Us
Dorsar Investment Management is a diversified investment holding
company with investment interests primarily focusing on real estate,
private equity, agriculture and other alternative asset classes.
The name Dorsar is a combination of the names Isadore and Sarah.
Isadore came to the United States in the late 19th century and settled
in El Paso, Texas in the early 20th century. He started a scrap metal
company that evolved into a number of operating companies focused on
supplying the industrial supply sectors (transmission and distribution
industries, mine contractors, refineries, and power plants). The
companies also became involved in supplying pipe, steel, and plumbing
to the oil and gas industries. In the mid-1980s, the remaining
operating companies were sold and the remaining realty concern was
renamed Dorsar Investment Company in the late 1990s.
